Matthew Flinders Taverner, Chadstone, Australia

Rating: 4/5 11110
If you're ever near Chadstone, make sure to try the lunch at Matthew Flinders Tavern (near the Holmesglen station) along Warrigal road.

For a surprisingly affordable AUD$13.95, I had the best pumpkin and salmon risotto i've ever had coupled with a glass of their house red. This meal definitely has the best value for money. It also helps that the place has a classy, old-pub, wood-trimmed feel to it and even though I sat indoors, the place was made to look like you're sitting along a side street of old London. (well at least that's how I felt!)

I would have liked to see this place afterdark as there's a decent sized dance floor and salsa lessons every Thursday night. There's even an enclosed area just for smokers as well as a mini-casino. So drop by, give them a call at 9568 8004 and tell them reviewsbyp sent you.
